Welcome to Vuurmuur Firewall
Table of Contents
Welcome to the homepage of the Vuurmuur project. Vuurmuur is a powerful firewall manager built on top of iptables on Linux. It has a simple and easy to learn configuration that allows both simple and complex configurations. The configuration can be fully configured through an Ncurses GUI, which allows secure remote administration through SSH or on the console. Vuurmuur has powerful monitoring features, which allow the administrator to look at the logs, connections and bandwidth usage in realtime. Vuurmuur is open source software and is distributed under the terms of the GNU GPL. Take a look at the list of Features, see the ScreenShots and watch the flash demos for an impression.

Traffic shaping coming to Vuurmuur
Traffic shaping support for Vuurmuur is currently in development. Read about it at http://www.inliniac.net/blog/2007/10/02/vuurmuur-gets-traffic-shaping.html. The GUI part is now done as well. Read about it at http://www.inliniac.net/blog/2007/11/02/gui-part-of-vuurmuur-traffic-shaping-done.html.
FTP server issues solved
The Vuurmuur FTP has been having issues for a couple of days, but all should be working again. I only have to restore the release archive on it. That should be done soon.
