You should always try the official releases first. All official releases can be found at Sourceforge.net http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=114382.
Debian and Ubuntu users can also use the vuurmuur apt source. See installing on Debian and Ubuntu for instructions for installation and upgrading.
The pre-releases are intended for testing upcoming releases. They are hosted at the Vuurmuur ftp server (ftp://ftp.vuurmuur.org/).
Debian and Ubuntu
If you are using Debian or Ubuntu there is a APT server available. For instructions, see InstallationDebian.
Other ways of getting Vuurmuur
Contributed rpm packages found on the ftp-server. For the 0.5.72 release, have a look at ftp://ftp.vuurmuur.org/releases/0.5.72/contrib/. Older contributed Debian Sid/Unstable packages can be found here (http://www.kriegisch.at/~adi/software/vuurmuur/).
Vuurmuur is also included by RedWall Firewall (http://www.redwall-firewall.com).
If you have downloaded Vuurmuur, proceed to the Installation.
