Description
Im using the SVN version of vuurmuur via the repository on ubuntu 14.04. "tc qdisk show" works and no errors are displayed in vuurmuur_conf. The bandwidth shaping does not work some infos in status just show "error". Traffic Volume only showes "error"s.

Do I need to compile a new kernel myself now or is there any other way to get this working?

Both screenshots are unrelated to traffic shaping. The first one 'traffic volume' should show the volume, see IPTrafVol
The second screenshot gives errors when showing connection counts. This is based on conntrack. There are also quite a few errors related to this in your logs:
08/16/2014 16:19:22 : PID 13907 : vuurmuur : Error (-1): no connection tracking support in the kernel (in: check_iptcaps:402).
This conntrack stuff is important to fix btw.
